The goal of the Vocations Appeal is to support seminarian education, as well as fund the renewed efforts of the Vocation Office to inspire young men to consider the priesthood. Thanks for helping us build a culture of vocations!

Vocation Appeal Timeline

Mid July

Parishes receive Vocation Appeal Package

This box will include the in-pew brochures, along with hard copies of a pulpit announcement, bulletin blurbs, and homily talking points.

July 25–26

Announcement Weekend

Parishes include Bishop Gruss' letter to the faithful about this initiative in the bulletin and all parish communications.
Parishes read the pulpit announcement at all Masses to introduce the Vocations Appeal.

Aug 1–2

Vocations Appeal Weekend

Brochures are placed in pews at every Mass.
Priests make appeal using provided talking points.
At the end of the homily or at the end of Mass, priests invite parishioners to make a gift.

Aug. 8–9

Appeal Reminder

Include the reminder blurb in the bulletin.
Remind parishioners that there is still time to support the Vocations Appeal.
Direct parishioners to use the response information in the appeal brochure or make a gift online.

Parishioners can make their donation online or use the envelope in the pew to place in the collection basket or send their gift directly to the Diocese of Saginaw.
